The great questions of life, death and resurrection, destruction and new beginnings are united in the great saga around the figure of the phoenix. The limited sculpture of the young MEISSEN sculptor Max Hagstotz shows the magical moment of rebirth: The eagle is still held as a relief on the pedestal, the newborn phoenix is already assembling. Parts of the tail and his feet still sunk in ashes, he already tries to rise into the air with the first beats of his wings. Powerfully the bird spreads its wings and stretches its neck towards the sky. The rebirth of the dead, the brilliant new beginning - the myths of antiquity, captured as a figure in a handcrafted limited masterpiece in MEISSEN porcelain.
