This figure belongs to the "Limited Masterpieces" of the MEISSEN® manufactory. One of the most important animal sculptors and sculptors of the early 20th century is Max Esser (1885-1945). Among his most famous figures is the swooping "Seagull" above a foaming ocean wave. Originally in pure white glazed porcelain, the sculpture has now been staffed for the first time. Kerstin Laschinski effectively stages the energy of Esser's animal sculpture on the work of art. Thus, an entire flock of seagulls is reflected in one wing.
