The bird figurine "Woodpecker Tit" is an expression of masterful craftsmanship 's. The velvety, earthy Böttger stoneware radiates matt elegance and perfection. After a nerve-racking series of experiments, the alchemist Johann Friedrich Böttger succeeded in producing the so-called "jasper porcelain" in 1707. Clear lines and fine details lend liveliness and dynamism to the bird figure clinging to a branch. The depiction of nature in all its beauty testifies to excellent craftsmanship, which has been practiced to perfection at the MEISSEN® manufactory for over three centuries.
