description
The magnificent "Bataillenmalerei" goblet was designed after a model by the Dutch painter Philips Wouwerman, whose works can be admired in numerous exhibitions today. This Meissen work of art dates from the first half of the 18th century and depicts a warlike scene as the main motif of porcelain painting. As an allegorical addition, a hand-painted gold frame adorns the porcelain stage, which was created exclusively according to the high standards of Meissen craftsmanship. The hand-painted depiction of the equestrian battle after Wouwerman conveys his individual style, which made him the dominant painter of mounted battle scenes of his time and still impresses today with its richness of detail. An authentic interplay of painting and sculpture brings this work of art from the late 17th century back to life. The 18 centimeter high goblet shows the highest level of the finest Meissen painting in its design. A work of art on white gold, exclusively manufactured and hand-painted. As part of the Exclusive Collection, this goblet belongs to a limited edition.
