Stylized tulips in sepia painting, a genre with a long tradition at MEISSEN, have been hand-painted onto three classic lidded vases for the "Nature Morte" vases. Similar to a silhouette, the minimalist-looking motif sits on the vase, which is limited to 50 pieces. A closer look reveals the artistry of the flower painting. At the same time, the deliberate omission of color highlights the fine, detailed nature of the drawing, which succeeds only through precise brushwork and abstraction skills.
