Monkey Musician Oboe Player

Admirers of traditional arts and crafts with a soft spot for collectible figurines are in the right place with Peter Strang's "Monkey Musician with Oboe". This hand-painted figure is part of a collection of collectible figurines from 2016, an orchestra of music-making monkeys. This represents a reinterpretation to Kaendler's famous "Monkey Band" from 1753. In contrast to the famous model, Strang does without the great variety of colors and lush patterns, and relies only on the three basic colors with which the figures are hand-painted.
