Single Figurine Pug with Bells
description
The pug has a long tradition at MEISSEN®. Even the Saxon elector and founder of the manufactory, August the Strong, once gave his mistress Countess Cosel this dog made of MEISSEN® porcelain. To this day, the enthusiasm for the pug remains unbroken, which is why MEISSEN® dedicates a collection with over sixty different variations to the popular pets. Whether hand-painted in rich detail or left natural - a work of art of this adorable four-legged friend always enchants. Such is the case with Johann Joachim Kaendler's figurine "Pug with Bells" from 1741. Lovingly hand-painted, the figurine shows a small dog snuggling up to its mommy. With much love and devotion, the work of art is created in filigree handwork.
