This decorative dessert plate is decorated with the famous Meissen onion pattern. Throughout his life, Saxony's Elector, "August the Strong" was particularly fond of blue painted tableware, special porcelain, hand-painted according to the Chinese model. He demanded equivalent tableware from his manufactory. The historical onion pattern is continued here in a new dinner service. Whether as an appetizer plate or as a dessert plate, characteristic features of the decorative classic find their way to modern aesthetics in the unique table service of the "No 41" shape. The appetizer plate is a new stage for elaborate decorations, hand-painted on fine porcelain, a work of art and tableware in one.
