New Cutout Blue Onion Dessert Bowl
description
This decorative dessert bowl adorns the famous Meissen onion pattern. Throughout his life, Saxony's Elector, "August the Strong" was particularly fond of blue-painted tableware, special porcelain, hand-painted according to the Chinese model. He demanded equivalent tableware from his manufactory. In fact, the onion pattern does not actually represent onions, but shows pomegranate, peach, bamboo stick and delicate flowers, following the model. In the unique dinner service of the "New Cutout" shape, characteristic features of the decorative classic find modern aesthetics. The dessert bowl is a stage for elaborate decorations, hand-painted on fine porcelain, a work of art and tableware in one.
