Chris Antemann Hand Kiss
description
This designer sculpture is based on one of Kaendler's crinoline artworks. Antemann's figural version of the kiss on the hand can be seen as a marriage proposal, if the small floral ring on the lady's finger is interpreted as a hint. The model for her designer sculpture were the porcelain figures of the 18th century, which she interpreted in a modern way in her very own way. Although breakfast at that time often consisted only of a cup of thick, hot chocolate, the artist decided to serve this figure a more contemporary German breakfast, adding sausage, cheese, bread and fruit. Expressive, narrative artworks of this kind are Antemann's hallmark.
