With Psyche's appearance, a stunningly beautiful girl, Venus falls into oblivion. Enraged, she orders her son Cupid to pierce the girl with an arrow so that she will fall in love with the most terrible man. But Cupid cannot bring himself to do this. After overcoming great obstacles, his love triumphs. In the figurative sense, love (Cupid) and soul (Psyche) belong inseparably together.
