This decorative dessert plate is decorated with the famous Meissen onion pattern. Throughout his life, Saxony's Elector, "August the Strong" was particularly fond of blue painted tableware, special porcelain, hand-painted according to the Chinese model. He demanded equivalent tableware from his manufactory. The historical onion pattern is continued here in a new dinner service.
