Limited Edition Wall-Plate Ballet Study I

In this series of wall plates, the focus is on studies of ballet dancers based on designs by Prof. Heinz Werner. The artwork stages various performances in high-contrast underglaze painting. The flat design of the dark background is elaborately hand-painted in several steps, creating a dreamlike wall plate. Some areas, such as the dancers' dresses, are deliberately left blank on the work of art, which is a limited edition. The pure porcelain shimmers through them, giving the motifs their vivid plasticity and making this work of art an impressive wall decoration.
