Single Figurine Schokoladenmädchen
description
The figure "Chocolate Girl" is a plastic representation of the painting "The Chocolate Girl" by Jean-Étienne Liotard. Lovingly hand-painted, it testifies to exceptional craftsmanship. The lovely decoration shows a chambermaid carrying a tray with a cup of chocolate and water glass. Even in the 18th century, cocoa was considered an expensive and exotic luxury. The small portion of luxury was therefore often served in valuable porcelains. MEISSEN® made Liotard's "Chocolate Girl" its own by adding fine details to the figure. The golden staffing on the cup and tray underscore the special value of the porcelain, then as now. The delicate decoration, filigree hand-painted, testifies to masterful craftsmanship.
