Single Figurine The Dress
description
The figure "The Dress" was created in 1999 by the former chief sculptor of the MEISSEN® porcelain manufactory, Jörg Danielczyk. At a height of 27 cm, it shows the great craftsmanship with which the manufactory always inspires anew. The high-contrast, black staffage is accentuated and applied by hand. Applied white dots give the elegant figure an exciting complexity.
The timeless theme of fashion accompanies all epochs of figurative porcelain sculpture, whether sculpted or hand-painted in rich detail - from the shepherd look in the Rococo period to the virtuous bourgeois dress of the Biedermeier period to the flowing robes of the Art Nouveau period. Fashion also became a great formative passion for Danielczyk's handicrafts. Thus, his figure "The Dress" shines with grace and elegance. Hand-painted, it joins the variety of extraordinary handicrafts.
